Saint Ephraim described the Syrian scriptures as follows. A man can drink as much as he wants and can, but he will not finish the well. Others who come after him can also drink and record. The former for the latter. And it will not end for the one who comes after him. This means that the scholars of the holy books are given to them in every era, feed them, and translate them; However, they understand and explain as much as they can, but they do not finish the mystery.
The main principle and basis of interpretation is to be interpreted by keeping the doctrine of the Apostolic and Orthodox Church. Beyond this, interpretation is limited by time, and it was in this era, but it is not said that it does not exist in this era. God's Word is an inexhaustible source from which new mysteries always spring forth.
