Kebede Michael is one of the early writers in the history of Ethiopian literature. The poet was born on October 23, 1909. After completing his education in the church, he attended modern education at the Alliance Franchise and Caesarist Mission. When Addis Ababa University awarded him an honorary doctorate in 1990; "The expressions, words, metaphors and other aspects of writing style of the great author of Anih, which appear in his works, are not easy to contribute to the later authors. Many authors, especially since the 1950s, have read his essays. Through his essays, they became authors by knowing and experiencing literature.
